HHLA Sky presents itself at the Open Day of the Federal Government at the BMDV in Berlin

As the world’s leading company in civil drone systems, HHLA Sky is presenting itself at the BMDV as part of the German government’s Open House Day in Berlin. HHLA Sky develops, produces and operates system solutions that enable the parallel operation of more than 100 automated drones beyond the visual line of sight of a drone pilot (BVLOS) from a single Integrated Control Center around the globe.

HHLA Sky, a subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), a leading global drone system provider, will exhibit its technology solutions at the BMDV as part of the Federal Government’s Open Day in Berlin.

The Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV), together with the Federal Chancellery, invites to the Open Day on Saturday, 19. August and Sunday, 20. August, 2023.

The open day is intended to give citizens the opportunity to get to know the workings of the government and its ministries better, to find out about the various departments, subordinate authorities and their responsibilities. Representatives of the business community will also be on hand to present their technologies and business models to citizens.

The fully integrated system consisting of HHLA Sky’s process management and control center software, and drones will be presented at the booth and information on the technology will be provided. It will be shown that the system can map the entire process from planning to flight to secure sensor data transmission and is already prepared for integration into UAV Traffic Management Systems (UTM).

The system is already prepared for integration into UAV traffic management systems (UTM). HHLA Sky has also developed such a UTM system. Safe coordination with other aircraft in the same airspace (U-Space) is ensured by the digital networking of this UTM solution.

Matthias Gronstedt, Managing Director of HHLA Sky, emphasizes: “We are pleased to support the BMDV at the Open Day and to exchange views with visitors on the opportunities and perspectives of drones. As the responsible department, the BMDV is shaping the future of the German drone industry in a special way. We look forward to participating and to talking with you on site.”

HHLA Sky will be present with its team, control station and various information about the award-winning drone X4 on the premise of the BMDV on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, 2023 and is looking forward to your visit as well as your questions and conversations.
