Drone Racing first came unto the scene 7 years ago. Since then, the sport has become big business. Youths are connecting with the sport. Sponsors have taken notice and are throwing around lots of money to get eyes in front of the youth oriented sport.
Each year the DRL is growing. The future looks bright, as more people are beginning to take notice of the sports existence. The sport has broad appeal and should be generating new viewership for the foreseeable future.
Backers of the sport include the likes of none other than Steve Wozniak. He envisions that when kids grow up, they will want to be professional drone pilots. Wow!
Drone Racing and Google Partnership
Google is using the technology provided by the cloud to further racing tech. The search engine giant wonders, “is this the next generation of software developers?” Drone racing is able to push into the mainstream further with the help of the Google Cloud. The pilots need to view real-time video, that is being captured at intense speeds, this feat requires continuing to pushi the limits of drone technology.
Take It From the World Champ
Evan Turner says that,”flying one of these drones is an exhilarating experience, it’s like nothing you’ve ever done before. The best way to learn how to fly an FPV drone is to get on a simulator. Save up a little bit more, to invest in some better products and then use that time that you’re saving up to just practice a little bit more in the simulator.”
